IMPACT REPORT

In 2025, The Hokie Way continued to make a meaningful impact through our charitable partnerships. Building on our strong foundation, we deepened our engagement with fourteen partners—expanding opportunities for support of important causes.

TV AD AIRINGS

In 2025, The Hokie Way purchased television and streaming advertising inventory on sports and family-oriented programming (such as ABC News, NBC Sports, Roku TV, Golf Channel, etc.) and then provided allotments to each of our charitable partners in an effort to broaden their reach throughout SWVA.

More than 510,000 television and streaming ads featuring Virginia Tech student-athletes ran in 2025 on behalf of our charitable partners.

Producing and amplifying promotional content featuring student-athlete ambassadors is a cornerstone of The Hokie Way’s mission. In 2025, our content reached more than 1.3 million people and generated over 40,000 engagements across multiple social media channels.

SERVED

As part of our biennial partnership application process, The Hokie Way’s charitable partner network grew from nine to 14 in 2025. To broaden our impact, we added partners in Richmond and Northern Virginia/Washington, D.C., and transitioned our partnership with Special Olympics of Virginia to be state-wide.

  • “The Hokie Way's work with Special Olympics is not simply about financial support. It is about using the visibility and influence of Virginia Tech student-athletes to help advance meaningful charitable and community-based work. Their involvement strengthens our events, uplifts our athletes, and helps us reach people we may not otherwise reach. I am grateful for The Hokie Way's support and believe its partnership provides real and meaningful value to Special Olympics and the individuals we serve.”

    — Michael Creamer, Special Olympics Virginia - New River Valley

  • “Beyond the financial contributions, what stands out most is The Hokie Way's dedication to community service and meaningful engagement. Their partnership reflects a genuine commitment to making a difference and has helped raise awareness of our mission while creating opportunities to connect with new supporters throughout the region. The impact of this relationship extends far beyond dollars and cents. Every family who finds rest, support, and compassion within our House benefits from the generosity and community-minded spirit that organizations like The Hokie Way bring to our work. Their support has helped ensure that families can focus on their child's health and healing rather than the many logistical and financial burdens that often accompany medical crises.”
